House & Cats!

So today sat watching TV I notice indi (may cat, the one on the wall) and what I think is his girl friend(as he is a boy). I say this as normally when cats get to gether they fight! And look like giant fur balls, both of my cats fight and they live together. But girl cats tend to be smaller than boys cats and looking at them they were both the same size ish, Dose this mean my cat has a boy friend? I don't have a problem with this but I would like to have found out another way, he could have told me.

Started work in full force on my house today,

  1. bathroom sanded and wood work around bath re done, pipes boxed in.
  2. kitchen striped and sanded, all wood work sanded.
Not easy things to do, everything has to be moved(like fridges and washers) , screw and nails taken out of wall, filling. god dam (going to hell) its was hard work!
Im hoping now the ball is rolling I hope it keeps going, still got loads to go.

Rough!

So .... I don't 'usualy' drink spirits but there tend to be exception's to every rule and last night was a prime example. I was out with a few friends and then we head back to a flat for a few more drinks but all that was available to drink was Vodka! WooHoo. And you know what it was good!

Working in cinemas for the last 10 years and having a hidden interest in architecture and old buildings it nice to see old cinemas, I used to work at one of very few listed cinema building in the UK.

The cinema was built as a corn exchange and was converted to a cinema years ago and after many referbs this was what it look like before it closed.

exchange

One of the pubs I visited last night was
the 'Moon under Water' in Manchester
which (guess what) used to be a cinema,
its nice walking into a building and being
able to see where the Booth was and screen
used to be. I do think we don't build cinemas
as grand as they used to be, Its all about cost
cutting, cheap.

Beta car cam holder v2

After making and trying out the beta v1 holder I thought I would be a good idea to build a new phone holder (see previous post) and after driving in to Manchester with it attached to just under my number plate I thought it looked good, there was some traffic which slows the speed of the drive but I think there are some good bits.

had to split it in to 3, sorry.

Trip Home

Well after seeing This Bloggers Post I was inspired to try the same, I thought it looked fantastic and I would like to try editing and visual and audio.

So at work with no help I built a prototype of a phone holder (yes I know I can buy one but this is cheaper). The design is florless, built from high grade card board and expertly put to getter with gaffa tape. There is a hole for viewing while you drive.

As you can see the windows are designed so the camera and window are visible. The expertly placed stickers were placed there but the blogger who started this, Dam that Man

I tryed out it on my home that night, the thing worked but would like it to be higher so I think I will just buy a cheap phone holder and try again, But this then got me thinking and I came up with a new idea. I have a spare K750i (as I don't want to use my new expensive w810i) which I have built the following for.

So as you can tell I have designed it to fit to the front of my car, with a low vantage point it should give a good view. I have covered it in gaffa tape and there is a plastic cover for the lens, the padding is so I can fix it firmly to my bumper.

I do think it looks like the viewing platform of a apache gunship.

Stay tuned!

Gay shopping!

I decided after a small bonus from work I would buy some new cloths, I asked one of the fellas from work if he would like to come out with me to get my new cloths, as we were shopping he pointed out we could be 'Gay Shopping'. Now in not a homophobe nether is my friend and its not meant to be an insult but just two blokes shopping like they were a couple. (no kissing rule though) And what fun it was, once you start to 'Gay shop' you start to notice other gay shoppers as your 'gay-dar' kicks in. Well after all that i did end up with a new shirt and jeans for £60 ish, how can girls go out and get a new outfit for £20??? I don’t understand ???? equal right hay!!!!

i would like to take this opportunity to thank GreenDay, this may sound odd but stick with me. I am starting to spend a lot of time walking to and from the train station and spending a lot of time on the train meaning I have started to lessen to music more and more, having this time to think can be a very bad thing epically with the frame of mind im in at the moment but thanks to greenday i can get from A-to-B and on to-C and have fun and be happy and not worry thanks to one band, yep greenday.

Car update is not worth doing as there is no change, its still there and its still broken

When is your home not your home?

Now my home is starting to empty there is some positive feeling in clearing out the crap but with that comes getting rid of things that I would keep but now with the change coming there isn't any room for it, IM not stupid and I can keep the things that are important to me (well material things any way).

But now with my house starting to empty there is a feeling that my home is now not my home, well not the home it was once. IM not blind to the changes that are and will take place in my life and I look forward to some of the changes but its taking the 'rough with the smooth' 'good and the bad' 'ups and the downs' and many more ways of putting it.

CAR UPDATE

BREAKING NEWS !!!

NOTHING !!!!

Waiting to hear from a friend about someone working on my car, he will be someone who works of a garage (big one) and will do work of cash in hand, its cheaper and the bloke will do a good job for me (trust me!) But IM still in the dark about what it is, it could be the bearings but could be a frame issue or suspension damage! The list goes on! But it should be the next few days and things should start moving and I don't need my car for the next week or so.

Stay tuned for more CAR UPDATES!!!!

Some people collect stamps!

Well some people collect stamps, coins, t shirts and many many things but I collect posters. Not just any posters but film posters, as in any collection there are things you must know before you start collecting,
there are 2 types, quad and 1 sheet.
Quads are the UK standard posters which are the bigger of the two types.
1 sheet are standard around the world, these poster tend to stay unchanged from the us versions, they also look better in my eyes. Don't get me wrong there are some fantastic quad posters out there.

You also see the British edits of posters, the one I remember the most is 'replacement Killers' the original one sheet had Chow Young Fat pointing a gun at you, the quad had this gun removed. SAD I THINK

So I had to tidy up today and sort through my posters so I thought I would give you a look in to what I have.

Enjoy

Poseidon adventure

Well another remake of a film that never needed it, Got to watch the latest Hollywood has to offer in the way of big budget, big (ish) cast. I say ish as Kirk Russle is in it and I know he has done some big films and im not saying he is bad at what he dose but he has been round the block a few times.
The original was made in 1972 and stared Gean Hakman and was. Nope is fantastic. With real depth and a sense you are in the thinks of things fighting for your life and now 20 years on we have a more up-to-date version for people of the world, so instead of models and cheap sets (compared to today's sets) we have stunning visual affects, huge and expensive sets and a stuning sound track (many times I looked round thinking there was someone there but it was just the sound of dripping water from the surround speakers) which for me makes up for the fact the film however polished doesn't do one better than the original

Xmen 3

Well to got an early screening of one of the summers big box office hit was something most film lovers would do, so after getting pissed and staying out till 4am, getting 4hrs sleep, putting back on the close that were still piss wet through from the walk back pissed and then starting a 12hr day at work to hang around for that load of tripe.
Ok, Hang on, it want that bad but it could have, should have been better.

If you like films I would think you would lessen to film reviews! Don't you? So if some one says Da Vinci Code is crap why would hundreds of people come to see it? Im not complaing as it pays my wages but just don't understand it!

Car update 2, the revenge of the bearings

Well after my longish trip its official, my car needs some work after my brush with death, there isn't and vibration and the handling is ok (well ok for my car) but there is some low noise coming from the wheel which hit the kerb. Now to me that screams BEARINGS! So now need to get it fixed as my car has become my life line. And STOP THE PRESS im going to pay to get it fixed instead of trying to get it done myself.

Watched the last Scrubs last night (season 5), I relay like scrubs and its a very funny show, I have some comfort that there will be a new season soon.

Car update

Well after changing the wheel and trying to spin it the bearings and shaft don't appear to be damaged but as I need my car for a longish trip tomorrow I will take it for a spin tonight just to see how it is, if my last trip was anything to go by this may be my last blog.
